How do I keep watching the live stream?
Each presenter will be viewable using the panopto link:
http://youtubeandthe2008election.hosted.panopto.com/CourseCast/Student/Default.aspx
You must login using the username: guest password: youtube. This link must be clicked again each time you wish to view a presenter. Refreshing the page once you are on the link will not work. You must be on the "Available Folders" page and click "view live" (to the right of the session name) each time.
How change my status statement?
Click "My Account" under quick links. Then click on the text that says "does not have a status" (next to your username) and you will be prompted to enter a new status. If you are updating, just click your old status and you will be prompted to enter a new one.
How do I vote in the contest?
Check our "resources" page for voting instructions.
How do I use Diigo?
1. Sign up for a diigo account at http://www.diigo.com and install the diigo toolbar or 'digolet' for your browser. The toolbar will give you more options, but the digolet is less noticeable.

2. Check you email for the youtube08 group invitation from diigo. Click the button at the bottom that says "Join this Group"

3. Return to the conference website and check to see that you are signed in to diigo (many diigo toolbar options will be available) If you are not signed in, click the sign in button. You will be taken to diigo's site to sign in in a new browser tab.

4. Once you are signed in, close the diigo tab and get back to the conference website. Now the fun begins. Navigate to any page you'd like to start annotating or bookmark. The first way that you can annotate is by highlighting. Click and drag the mouse over some text just as you would in your word processor. Then got to your diigo toolbar, and click the small downward pointing arrow next to "Highlight." Choose "Highlight and Comment" to leave an annotation. A small bax will then popo up near your highlight. If you want your annotation to be accesible by the conference group, you must change "private" in the selection box to "youtube08" or "public" if you'd like all diigo users to be able to read it. (See below.) You can then type your text and hit "ok" and you are done!

5. If you'd like to delete the annotation you've, simply move your mouse over the annotation. If it belongs to you, a box will pop up that gives a delete option. Don't worry, you won't be deleting the web content, only the annotation!

6. The other way to annotate using diigo is to leave a "floating stick note" These notes are displayed in the form of little thought bubbles that you may have seen on the site already... To make one of these, simply right click on the page, and at the bottom of the popup menu, you will see "add floating stick note". Click this button, enter your text, press ok, and voila, you've annotated the site!

7. To respond to someone else's annotation or floating sticky note, click that particular highlight or floating bubble, and click the small white blob at the top right of the popup box. This will allow you to respond to or converse with the author of that annotation.

8. Most of all, have fun!! And don't be afraid to experiment. And if you have further questions, send Nate a message using the link at the bottom of this page.
